Kaitlyn received her Death Doula certification from Jill Schock of Death Doula LA. She holds a BA from Clemson University & an MFA in Design for Entertainment from UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, and Television. Her background in art & storytelling informs her practice of creating emotional & physical spaces that feel supported & safe.

Kaitlyn frequently participates in academic & peer-led courses & workshops in herbalism, grief tending & Jewish Mysticism.

Kaitlyn also holds a certificate from Deeper Deathwork, a 6 week intensive in end of life care and grief work studies with DeathWives and completed Herbalism for Grief, a 10-part course exploring plant allies for grief, trauma, herbal rituals & practices of care taught by Mara June of Motherwort + Rose. She also completed The Herbal Academy’s Introductory Herbal Course in 2020.

A recent spell Kaitlyn wrote based on the ancient Jewish ritual of Tashlikh is offered in Grieving as Shapeshifting: Spells for Coming Undone and she is a contributing artist in the latest edition of The Rebis Vol. 2: Chariot. She also has an art piece featured in Jewish Zine Archive’s Omnibus.

Kaitlyn is currently curating shows at Studio DDLA, a death & mortality centered art gallery located in Chinatown, Los Angeles.
